The conference will be held in Barcelona, capital of Catalonia and located in the North East of Spain.

Barcelona is very well connected from all over the world by El Prat airport. There are many shuttle that you can take directly from the terminal till the very city centre for a good price. Once in the city, 11 metro lines will let you go quite quickly wherever you would prefer. If you are more into taxis, Cabify it is a great option to easily get to any point of Barcelona.

Gastronomy

Barcelona is also known by its wide variety of food and flavours that will not let you indifferent. You will be pleased with this rich and savoury mediterranean gastronomy to which a large portion of good weather is added. You cannot leave without having paella, of course but there are some regional dishes like calsot and pa amb tomàquet or national ones like the worldwide known tapas. With more that 250 hours of sun and less than 5 days of raining in summer you will be able to enjoy your meal outside with a fresh sangría and have truly nice walks by the seaside.

Tourism

The most touristic attraction is the unfinished great Gaudi’s masterpiece of Sagrada Familia church. Park Guell is a park made of gardens and architectonic elements designed again by the catalonian Antonio Gaudi.

In the city centre, you can delight yourself with a walk in La Rambla pedestrian street with souvenir, flower shops and cafes full of tourists and locals alike.

The mountain inside Barcelona it is called Montjuic with an imposing palace on top from where you could have a nice view of Barcelona.

If you are tired of that much tourism, take your towel and go to enjoy la Barceloneta. And when the sun comes down you cannot miss the great views from Tibidabo park. They’re just astonishing!
